Manoj Karki, President of AOAN, issued a statement informing that the helicopter companies affiliated with the association are prepared for rescue operations. The statement reads, “As heavy rainfall is occurring in most parts of the country, and due to the floods and landslides in various areas, we inform you that the helicopter companies affiliated with the association are on standby to rescue the general public affected by such disaster-related situations.”

The association has also urged the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to designate a Coordination Officer to streamline the rescue efforts. President Karki further informed via the letter that the rescue operations would be carried out according to the directions of the coordination officer appointed by the Authority.
